Donating to the Canadian Training Institute
The Canadian Training Institute is a National Voluntary organization
(charitable registration # 0679290-59-13).
Who We Serve
CTI offers a unique service in support of safer, healthy communities
throughout Canada. More than five thousand individuals have received certified
training through CTI. They are predominantly staff members and volunteers
in residential and related programs addressing family violence, mental
health, addictions, ex-offenders, and the physically or mentally challenged.
Our challenge is to develop and to deliver high quality, relevant training
at the lowest possible cost.
How Your Donation is Used
Support for CTI has a clear multiplier effect on social service agencies
throughout Canada. In practical terms, your support will assist in minimizing
the cost of training to staff and volunteers of community based agencies.
CTI has several new initiatives which will be supported through your
donation. These include the further development of our "Breaking the
Cycle of Violence" program referenced by the Executive Director in
the Annual Report. The initial evaluation of the pilot is encouraging,
and we hope to continue to refine the process to the level whereby it can
be it can be used by schools nationwide.
Recognition of Support
CTI has various levels of contact with thousands of community based
agencies throughout the year, so we are in a unique position to raise awareness
of individual, corporate or foundation support for safer, healthy communities
with those agencies providing direct services.
Consequently, we shall:
- Acknowledge all donors on our brochures and other publications.
- Acknowledge donors through links from our own home page to those of
